Thrive has been designed to help you take control of your thoughts, feelings, emotions and worries. Developed by Rob Kelly, director of the IAEBP (International Association of Evidence Based Psychotherapy - formerly IAPH) it is unique and highly effective, having been perfected by Rob over the course of twenty years.
This is more of a training course than therapy; during the sessions you will learn how to completely change the way you think and feel about yourself when faced with challenging situations.
As I mentioned previously, the training course is the culmination of twenty years of studying as to what makes people tick, for example, what makes them happy or sad; why some people get sick, what keeps others healthy. Why do some people have ‘off’ days, feeling down in the dumps and then on other days feel happy and optimistic?
Why do some people constantly get colds, and others don’t? There are those who slide so deep into depression that they kill themselves. On the other hand there are others, who, despite life dishing out awful situations, remain resilient and are able to get on with their lives in a carefree happy manner.
You are much more empowered when you understand how your mind works, i.e., the interaction between your emotions, your personality and your thinking.
The realisation that through poorly-managed thinking you may have caused these problems such as stress, unpleasant symptoms, etc, you can really feel optimistic ... because if you caused these problems, then you can change them!
The Thrive training programme will provide you with personal insight, which, in turn, allows you to totally change any limiting belief systems that are adversely affecting your life.
Do you catastrophise? Do you obsess about things? Do you always anticipate the worst case scenarios?
The Thrive Programme will demonstrate how your imagination plays a huge part in both causing and resolving problems and symptoms. You will also discover the thought pattern which is giving you the problems, and once you are able to pinpoint where the causes of your negative beliefs come from, it's quite easy to change them into something working for you rather than against you.
This amazing programme will help you to completely change your current limiting belief system.
A limiting belief system can have a profound negative or damaging effect on your life. They can cause you to suffer relationship problems, ill-health, fears and anxieties, and even mental and physical illnesses. This training program has already helped to change the limiting beliefs of people with problems such as clinical depression, M.E., post-viral fatigue syndrome, low self esteem, obsessions and help to stop smoking.
It’s well known that there are many other self-help techniques available, including NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy); however, Thrive is more successful because it actually helps you to understand your own personal character traits, your personality. Until you have understood the component parts of your personality you will not be able to go forward. It’s no good just ‘thinking positive’, that in itself will never work; you need to discover the driving force behind your limiting beliefs.
Thrive is all about you taking control, control of your life, control of your emotions. Nobody can do this for you; it’s much more empowering that you take control of your own problems, thus resolving them for yourself.
This training course can help you to overcome almost any issue that is caused by any kind of negative thought, or limiting belief that you might have.
Typical symptoms successfully treated by Thrive are:
- Depression: people become depressed because they ‘believe’ they are locked in their depression.
- People with ME/PVFS/CFS can be helped to understand that their condition doesn’t have to control every part of their life any more
- People who find it difficult to stop smoking often find it difficult, because they believe they’re addicted to smoking, and so it’s going to be hard. Once they are able to change this limiting belief it can really help that person to stop smoking more easily
- Someone with a lack of self confidence or low self esteem can be helped to see themselves and their behaviour in a completely new light
- Making presentations and speeches can be far easier
- Relationship issues can often revolve around negative thoughts, or limiting beliefs, and learning to resolve these can really help
- The Thrive Programme can be applied to almost any situation that is affected by negative thoughts, or limiting beliefs.
